WinPatrol is a program that lets you monitor applications running in your computer. You can view installed services and hidden files, it can show running processes, ActiveX controls, Internet Explorer Toolbars and Helpers, and Scheduled Tasks. It can also clean up your computer and protect against spyware, worms and other things that might harm it or slow it down.

If your not sure what something does, Plus Info (in the paid version) gives straight forward date w/ Users' ranking giving the facts needed to make your decision - saving a whole lot of time with Google, btw if they don't have data on line check back for an answer (con: They do NOT advise when they do, nor a "Flag".
